Diabolo Dance Theatre
Founded in 1986, Diabolo Dance Theatre has given performances in more than 30 countries, including at the Lincoln Center in New York, the 2005 Aichi World Expo in Japan, the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the National Theater in Taipei, National Taichung Theater, and at various national theaters across Central and South America. It has made regular appearances at multiple major arts festivals in Asia, such as Tianjin's Teda Summer Arts Festival, Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo, the Macau Arts Festival, and Singapore's Chingay Parade.
Centered around the art of diabolo and radiating outwards to theater space creativity, the group's performances meld music, dance, contemporary circus, multi-media art, lighting, and visual design. The group hopes to bring high quality entertainment to the performing arts and cultural industry and allow more artists to shine on the international stage.
